Cookie Notice

Aber Reviews aims to use as few cookies and trackers as possible.

Strictly necessary

The site uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and to protect forms against forgery (CSRF). We also set a browser-local flag (not sent to our server) to remember that you’ve seen the cookie notice banner, so it doesn’t reappear on every page. These are not optional and do not require consent under UK PECR, as they are necessary for the service you’ve asked for.

Analytics

We do not currently run any analytics or advertising cookies of any kind — not our own, and not a third-party tool. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and a consent option added before anything non-essential is enabled.

Third-party content

Some pages link out to a business’s Facebook Page — clicking through takes you to facebook.com, which is covered by Facebook’s own cookie and privacy policies, not ours. If a review includes a linked video, we use the embed feature for YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and a small number of other trusted providers; loading an embedded video may set a cookie belonging to that provider’s site, again governed by their policy, not ours. If “Log in with Facebook” is enabled, choosing it takes you to facebook.com to authorise the login — we only ever receive your name and email back, and set no Facebook cookie ourselves.
